Two-Day Leadership Intensive with Capstone
Leading The Phantom Workforce
A two-day, human-centered AI leadership intensive in which your leaders stop learning about AI in the abstract and start leading a real challenge of their own through it. They apply the complete Human-Centered AI Leadership System to a scenario they own, defend their plan in front of their peers, and leave with a dated 60- or 90-day implementation plan they can begin the week they return.
Opening Context
There is a difference between a leadership team that understands what AI is doing to its industry and one that has actually led a real change through it — once, together, with a plan their peers have already tested. The first is aware. The second is capable.
This intensive is built for the second outcome. Over two days, each leader takes a real, current challenge from their own organization and leads it through the exact system The Phantom Workforce lays out. They diagnose it with the book’s tools, protect the human value inside it, apply all Five Ps, name the conversations they must have, choose measures beyond cost, and produce a plan they will actually begin. They present it. They defend it. They make it better. Nothing here stays theoretical, because the whole intensive is organized around work each leader owns.
The Promise
Two days take a leadership team from a way of seeing to a durable way of leading. Where the one-day workshop moves a team from awareness to action, the intensive is built to make that capability stick: more time in the diagnosis, deep practice of all three leadership conversations rather than one, the full Five Ps applied end to end, and a rigorous, peer-critiqued capstone that becomes a real 60- or 90-day implementation plan for a real challenge. Leaders leave not with a plan for a hypothetical, but with a dated commitment to a change they own — and a partner holding them to it.
Who the Intensive Is Designed For
The audience is the same senior population as the one-day workshop — CEOs and senior executives, and leaders across operations, HR and people, learning and development, transformation, and customer experience, plus the managers responsible for guiding teams through AI-related change. The intensive asks for one thing more: each participant should be able to bring a real scenario they own and can influence. It is at its most powerful for a team already in motion — where AI adoption is underway, the stakes are concrete, and the plans made in the room will be implemented, not filed.
The Leadership Need It Addresses
Awareness is not the bottleneck; willingness and capability are. Most transformations do not fail at the strategy slide. They fail later — in the practice that never happens, the honest conversation that is never had, the metric that measures only cost and so produces only cuts. This is where a single day of alignment is not enough, and where the depth of a two-day intensive earns its place: it takes leaders past recognition and into rehearsed, pressure-tested, dated commitment. It is designed for organizations that cannot afford for the plan to be approximate.
How the Two Days Unfold
Day One — Seeing Clearly: the forces and the human equation. The intensive opens by launching the capstone, so that from the first minute every diagnostic produces a piece of each leader’s own real scenario. Leaders work quickly through the forces — the Tilt and competitive pressure, the Productivity Gap and the flywheel, the Human + AI Equation and what machines cannot fake, the AI Divide and the Cost Trap, the augmented workforce and an honest maturity read — and point each one directly at their capstone. The day closes with a capstone diagnosis lab and the inner work of the first leadership conversation: an honest, private reckoning with one’s own intent — amplify, or replace — before anything is said out loud.
Day Two — Leading Deliberately: the system, the conversations, and the plan. The second day is where a two-day intensive becomes something the one day cannot be. Leaders spend a full hour in the centerpiece practice — leading through the fog and running three complete rounds of the team conversation, so every leader leads, is led, and observes. They then practice the inner conversation as an ongoing discipline and design the customer conversation. They go deep on the full Five Ps — especially Practice and Proof, where most transformations quietly die — and apply all five to their capstone. Then they build the capstone end to end, present it to their peers, receive structured feedback against a rubric, revise the one thing that most improves it, and lock a dated 60- or 90-day implementation plan. The intensive closes on a public, dated commitment and an accountability partner.
The Capstone: The Spine of the Intensive
What makes this experience developmentally different from the one-day workshop is the capstone. Each leader applies the complete Human-Centered AI Leadership System — all Five Ps — to one real scenario from their own organization, function, or team. It is diagnosed on Day One, built on Day Two, critiqued by peers and facilitator, revised, and converted into a plan scoped to be achievable in 60 to 90 days.
The scenarios are real and current, within each leader’s span of influence, and human-centered by design — about people, behavior, culture, or capability, never a pure technology purchase. The point is not a perfect plan. It is a real one each leader will actually begin, made sharper because their peers stress-tested it and a facilitator pressed it on the questions that matter: are you protecting a task or the value beneath it; does a real person come out more capable; can you name one measure that is not cost.
What Participants Leave With
Each leader leaves with everything the one-day workshop provides — the diagnostics, the protected-value work, the Five Ps canvas, the rehearsed conversation — plus a completed capstone workbook applied to their own scenario, a presented and peer-reviewed capstone with scored feedback, and a dated 60- or 90-day implementation plan naming the specific conversations they will have and when, the capabilities they will build, the person they will turn into a teacher, the measures they will track beyond cost, and the accountability partner who will check on their progress.
The Experience and How It Is Facilitated
The intensive is run as a series of working sessions and coached labs, not a two-day talk. Leaders spend most of the two days doing the work — diagnosing, drafting, practicing, presenting — while the facilitator circulates as a coach, pressing each leader’s plan at three checkpoints toward feasibility, human-centeredness, and proof beyond cost. Participants work in standing pods of three that stay together across both days for coaching and peer review, which turns the room into a set of trusted critics rather than an audience. The conversation practice is done in full, in role, with structured feedback each round. Psychological safety is protected throughout: the inner conversation stays private and is never required to be disclosed.
Why This Intensive Is Different
Like the one-day workshop, this is not a software course, an awareness seminar, or a trend briefing, and it teaches no tools or prompting techniques. What distinguishes the intensive is depth and rigor: the time to apply the whole system to a real decision, the discipline of presenting and defending that decision to peers, and the accountability of leaving with a dated plan rather than a good intention. It is the difference between understanding the Five Ps and having already run a real challenge through all five, in order, with the weakest one surfaced and strengthened before you go home. It rests on the same conviction the whole Institute is built on:
“The future will not be built by organizations with the best artificial intelligence. It will be built by organizations that bring out the best in human intelligence.”
Why the Founder Is Uniquely Qualified to Lead It
The intensive is facilitated by Darryl Michael Speach, founder of the AI Experience Institute™ and author of The Phantom Workforce. Two full days of coached labs, structured peer review, and consequential live conversations demand more than subject expertise; they demand a master facilitator who can hold a room of senior leaders in difficult, honest work and coach each of them individually without losing the group.
That is the discipline of Darryl’s career. He learned it as a Disney Master Facilitator and spent the decades since building corporate universities and enterprise learning functions from the ground up — as Vice President of Learning & Development at New York Life, Global Head of Learning & Development at Creative Artists Agency, Chief Learning Officer at Majid Al Futtaim in Dubai, Dean of Centene University at Fortune 25 Centene, and Executive Director of Guest Experience and Learning & Development at Qiddiya/SEVEN — across healthcare, entertainment, financial services, and hospitality. He designs the two days so that rigor and safety coexist: leaders are pressed hard on the substance of their plans and kept safe enough to be honest about what they do not yet know. That Disney master facilitation and curriculum design adapts the coaching to each leader’s industry, role, and level of AI fluency. And because the frameworks being applied are his own, the feedback each leader receives comes from the person who built the system they are using.
The Value to Your Organization
An intensive sends leaders home not with awareness but with implementation — a set of real, peer-tested plans already in motion across the leadership team, aligned by a shared system and a shared language. Because each plan is built on the Five Ps rather than on a specific tool, it remains sound as the technology keeps changing. And because each leader has practiced the hardest conversations and committed to dates in front of their peers, the plans are far likelier to survive contact with the organization. This is capability that compounds: five durable questions and a rehearsed way of leading that carry into every decision that follows.
Who Should Commission the Intensive
The two-day intensive is typically commissioned by a CEO or executive team preparing to lead a significant AI-era change; a CHRO, CPO, or chief learning officer investing in durable leadership capability rather than a one-time event; a business-unit president whose function faces real role and workflow change; or a transformation or strategy leader who needs a leadership team to leave with implementable plans, not just alignment. It is the right choice when the change is real, the stakes are high, and the plan has to work.
Delivery
The intensive is delivered in person or live online across two consecutive days, for an intact leadership team or a curated cohort — ideally sized so every participant is coached and presents. It works best when participants can bring a real scenario they own. Delivery format, cohort size and composition, location, and the degree of tailoring are agreed during a short discovery conversation before the engagement.
A Fee Proposal Built Around Your Engagement
Because every leadership team arrives with a different industry, a different level of AI fluency, and a different challenge in front of it, we do not publish a single fixed price. We develop a tailored fee proposal after a brief discovery conversation, so that what we recommend fits your audience, your context, and the outcomes you are after — rather than a package designed for someone else.
The proposal takes into account the factors that genuinely shape a strong engagement: whether the workshop is delivered in person or live online; your location; the size of the cohort; your cohort’s current level of AI acumen; your industry; the composition and seniority of the participants; whether you choose the one-day workshop or the two-day intensive; the degree of customization you would like; and any additional private consultation or advisory support, which is available at an hourly rate. Scoping the engagement around these factors is what allows us to recommend the right experience and to make the day — or the two days — land with your particular leaders.
The best next step is a short conversation. Complete the workshop inquiry form below to arrange an initial consultation call. We will learn about your organization and your cohort, discuss the experience that fits, and, when it is the right moment, prepare a tailored fee proposal for you to consider.
Which Experience Is Right for Your Team
One Day to Align. Two Days to Implement.
Both workshops teach the same system and share the same conviction. They differ in how far you want to go in the room. The one-day workshop is built to move a leadership team from awareness to a clear, shared plan. The two-day intensive is built to make that capability durable — to have each leader apply the whole system to a real challenge, defend it, and leave with a dated plan already underway.
Choose the one-day workshop — From Seeing to Leading — when:
- Your leaders need a shared language for AI and a common, honest read of where the organization stands.
- You want strong alignment and momentum from a single, focused day.
- The immediate goal is a confident decision-making discipline and a 30-day plan, not a fully built implementation plan for each leader.
- You are introducing these ideas to a leadership team for the first time, or setting the frame before a larger transformation.
- Calendars are tight and a full day is the realistic commitment.
Choose the two-day intensive — Leading The Phantom Workforce — when:
- A real change is already underway and the plans made in the room will be implemented, not filed.
- Each leader can bring a genuine scenario they own and want to leave with a dated 60- or 90-day plan for it.
- You want deep practice of all three leadership conversations, not just the team conversation.
- You value the rigor of peers pressure-testing each leader’s plan and a facilitator coaching it toward feasibility.
- The stakes are high enough that the plan has to be real, tested, and accountable before anyone leaves.
A frequent path: organizations use the one-day workshop to align a broad leadership group, then commission the two-day intensive for the smaller team that will own implementation. We are glad to advise on sequencing during your consultation.
